Dr. Fangzheng Lyu is the Principal Investigator (PI) for CITY-AI and an Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science and Director of the GeoCompute Research Group in the Department of Geography at Virginia Tech.
He specializes in urban informatics, spatial AI, and geo-computing. He is the Chair of the AAG CyberInfrastructure Specialty Group (CISG) and a member of the membership committee of UCGIS.
