Dr. Alexander Michels is a Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) for CITY-AI and an Assistant Professor of Geospatial Information Science in the School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).
He has extensive expertise in cyberinfrastructure (CI), cyberGIS, big data analytics, and health geography. He serves as Director and Vice Chair of the AAG CyberInfrastructure Specialty Group (CISG) and was selected as a UCGIS I-GUIDE Community Champion.
